St. Luke’s Health Center – Spring Township officially opened on Thursday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new facility located at 2701 Shillington Rd., Reading. This new Health Center, which represents St. Luke’s entry into the Reading market, offers Care Now walk-in services for bumps, bruises and non-emergent illnesses, primary care, physical therapy, x-rays, diagnostic lab services and occupational medicine.

Health Center staff began treating patients in the 12,300 square-foot facility on April 1.

Well-known local providers John Manubay, MD, and Marija Rice, CRNP, joined St. Luke’s and are welcoming their current and new patients at St. Luke's Spring Township Primary Care. With more than 25 years of combined experience in providing primary patient care for the whole family, they specialize in preventive care, immunizations, physical exams (including sports and school physicals), routine care and the treatment of acute and chronic health conditions.

“Maintaining an established relationship with a primary care provider is critical for the long-term health and well-being of your family,” said Dr. Manubay, a long-time family medicine physician.

A wide range of walk-in laboratory tests and x-ray services are available without an appointment.

At the physical therapy location, teams will design and implement individual, patient-centered care plans to help patients improve mobility and performance following illness, injury or due to a chronic condition.

The Occupational Medicine program, which opens on April 15, will treat Workers’ Compensation injuries, workplace-acquired illnesses, and perform physical examinations and screenings.

“On behalf of the entire St. Luke’s organization, we are honored and pleased to provide Reading-area residents access to the high-quality, award-winning care for which our Network is well known,” said Bill Moyer, president of the Network’s west region.

“We thank the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance and local civic leaders for welcoming us here, and we ensure patients will receive exceptional treatment and outstanding customer service at this new facility.”

The St. Luke’s Health Center – Spring Township is easily recognizable by its brownstone exterior and distinct organizational logos and signage. An attractive lobby and waiting area, state-of-the-art technology and plenty of parking enhance the facility’s comfort and convenience.
