Having a baby is an adjustment, physically and mentally. Your body looks and feels different, and your emotions may range from highs to lows and everything in between. We’re here to support your recovery, so that you feel like yourself again.

Occurs on-site bi-weekly on Thursdays at St. Luke’s Baby & Me Suppport Center - Bethlehem at 11am


As a postpartum mom, you’ve probably expected this time to be filled with great joy. Sometimes, though, you might experience lots of other emotions that are difficult. The objective of this group it to help normalize those emotions that accompany the transition to motherhood, whether you’re a first-time mom or already have other children. Cost: Billable through insurance, copayments may apply

Postpartum Physical Therapy

Recovery after childbirth

Having a baby is one of life’s most precious gifts. But pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding require a lot of your body. Our specialized pelvic health and obstetric care physical therapists can guide you whether you had a vaginal or surgical delivery to help you regain strength and feel like yourself again!


English: Classes are held the second Thursday of the month from 1 - 2:30 pm.
Spanish: Classes are held quarterly

Postpartum mother in PT

You’ll learn:

  • Healthy bowel and bladder habits
  • Abdominal strength and muscle repair exercises
  • How to safely return to exercising
  • Positioning for infant care and feeding

You’ll also receive a pelvic floor health assessment and treatment for blocked milk ducts (if necessary).
