Treating eczema and your skin with expert care.
Skin allergies can be incredibly uncomfortable and disruptive, often causing symptoms such as itching, redness, swelling, rashes, or irritation that affect daily life and overall well-being. These reactions can be triggered by a variety of factors, including environmental allergens, irritants, or sensitivities to certain products or materials. At St. Luke’s, our specialists are highly experienced in diagnosing and treating all forms of allergic skin conditions, from common issues like contact dermatitis and hives to more complex, chronic disorders. Using a thorough and personalized approach, we identify the underlying cause of each patient’s symptoms and develop targeted treatment plans designed to relieve discomfort, prevent flare-ups, and restore healthy skin.
Conditions we treat at St. Luke’s
Eczema (Atopic Dermatitis)
A chronic inflammatory skin disorder that often occurs in individuals with a personal or family history of allergic rhinitis, asthma, or food allergies. It usually presents in the first few months of life and often improves with age. The goals of treatment are to reduce inflammation, control itching, prevent secondary skin infections, and help the skin retain moisture.
Contact Dermatitis
A rash caused by direct contact with an allergen, such as poison ivy, certain metals (like nickel), or cosmetics. We use patch testing to identify the specific trigger.
Hives (Urticaria)
Raised, itchy welts that can be triggered by foods, medications, or environmental factors.
