Growing up, and maxing out at a statuesque 5’0”, there was never anywhere for the extra pounds to hide.
To say that I have tried every weight loss program and diet in the book is an understatement. Once I started exploring weight loss surgery and attended the info seminar at St. Luke’s, I was IN. The best way to describe myself post-surgery is that I feel liberated. Liberated from the extra weight and what it was doing to me mentally, physically and emotionally. Liberated from the control food held over me. I am now living my life to its fullest and without the fear and restraint my weight held over me. My best advice is to not be afraid to ask for help – invest in yourself and your future – you will not regret it!
