Infectious Disease & Travel Medicine
Safeguarding our community & global travelers.
Offering comprehensive care for infectious diseases.
Most of our care is provided for patients who are hospitalized, but we also have a robust and flexible outpatient practice that provides care in a large number of office sites throughout the region. The division assists in the management of complex infections including, but not limited to HIV, bone/joint infections, heart infections, blood stream infections, skin and soft tissue infection, lung infections, brain infections, abdominal infections, urinary infections, tick-borne diseases, and travel related infections. While we do not provide acute care in the ambulatory setting, we aid our acute care colleagues in providing verbal/written guidance to assist in patient care in this situation.

What is PrEP?
Pre-exposure prophylaxis, or PrEP, is a medicine that greatly reduces your chance of getting HIV through sex or injection drug use. It is as simple as one pill a day, one injection every two months, or one injection every 6 months. Talk to one of our trusted providers about what option is best for you!
