State Relations
The Government & Community Relations Department is responsible for developing working relationships with the members of the Pennsylvania Senate and House of Representatives. The department routinely collaborates with policy directors and legislative staffs in Harrisburg on these efforts. The department also interacts with the executive branch of the Commonwealth in matters relating to the annual state budget and potential funding opportunities.
Specific activities of the department include:
- Monitoring legislation
- Reviewing policy
- Lobbying
- Securing funding
- Advocacy
The department collaborates and coordinates these efforts with the Hospital & Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP).
