St. Luke’s Hamburg Primary Care Offering Free Blood Pressure Checks
May 22, 2018

St. Luke’s Hamburg Primary Care will offer free blood pressure checks for members of the community on Wednesday, May 23, from 9-11 a.m. at the office’s location at 9 Dave’s Way in Hamburg. In addition, visitors will receive a free St. Luke’s first aid kit.

“High blood pressure affects 1 in 3 adults in the United States,” says Tina Bollinger, Practice Administrator at St. Luke’s Hamburg Primary Care. “Awareness is the most important first step in reaching optimal health. Our providers are here to help educate, treat and encourage people to look at various lifestyle factors that may put their health at risk.”

During the event, visitors will be able to meet the staff of Hamburg Primary Care – including nurse practitioner Jessica Heffelfinger, CRNP – and see the new practice’s office. Hamburg Primary Care is accepting new patients, and staff will be available to schedule appointments to provide follow-up care.

Heffelfinger has been working in family medicine for more than two years, providing care to a patient population that encompasses a variety of cultures and backgrounds, and with a range of medical issues.

“Jessica brings high-quality care to the community and reduces medical care access issues,” Bollinger says.

Heffelfinger earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Alvernia University. She then obtained both a Master of Science in the Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner program and a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from DeSales University.

She is also a certified as an AANP Family Nurse Practitioner, and in Basic Life Support and RN Critical Care.

St. Luke’s Hamburg Primary Care provides services that include pediatric, adolescent and adult preventive health and wellness; acute care; continuous care for chronic conditions; and more.

“St. Luke’s Hamburg Primary Care providers play an important role in the health and well-being of our patients,” Bollinger explains. “We are fully committed to providing quality and compassionate care to those we serve. The addition of this new location will enhance patient accessibility throughout the region, reducing health disparity.”

St. Luke’s Hamburg Primary Care is located in St. Luke’s Health Center – Hamburg that conveniently includes other services, such as physical therapy, radiology, urgent care, physicians offices and a laboratory.

St. Luke’s Hamburg Primary Care office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 5 pm, and Friday from 8 am to 12 noon.
