What is Restylane?

Restylane is a cosmetic treatment that uses hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler to improve facial counters (often due to aging). It’s typically used in the cheeks, lips, and mouth areas.

Despite their similarities, Restylane and Juvéderm have several key differences. The biggest one is their texture: Restylane is more granular and cohesive, while Juvéderm is more smooth. It’s also particularly effective in treating the cheeks, lips, and nose area.

The Restylane line of products includes different chemical combinations—designed to treat different problems on the face. However, each product includes a bonding and varying concentrations of hyaluronic acid. If you’re looking to learn more about Restylane–request an appointment with The Med Spa – St. Luke’s today.

Why get Restylane?

Restylane candidates include adults over 21 looking to rejuvenate features, smooth out skin, and alter facial contours. It’s also FDA-approved for lip enhancement, giving your lips more volume and definition.

Due to its strong cohesive properties, Restylane is a preferred non-surgical treatment. When injected, the water in the hyaluronic acid adds volume under your skin in areas where you’ve lost collagen.
