The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has ranked St. Luke’s #1—ahead of Mayo Clinic and Houston Methodist—as the nation’s top three health systems for quality, safety and patient experience. This recognition reinforces St. Luke’s position as a national leader among major health care providers.
Using publicly available data from Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) and HHS evaluated 4,791 hospitals and 135 multi‑hospital systems. St. Luke’s was one of only three systems with multiple hospitals performing more than 75% above the national average in safety and patient experience.
