Cancer Trials at St. Luke's
Healing begins here
Join our fight against cancer
Cancer clinical trials test new ways to prevent, detect, diagnose, and treat cancer. They also aim to improve the quality of life for those with cancer by managing treatment side effects. Clinical trials can involve testing new drugs, devices, surgical techniques, radiation therapy, or their combinations. Various types of trials, including treatment, screening, prevention, supportive care, and biomarker studies, each answer different research questions, potentially benefiting participants and future patients.
At St. Luke’s, we offer trials for various cancer types and stages. Through multidisciplinary case conferences, we determine treatment plans with clinical trials options in mind. Our oncology clinical trials team, comprising clinical research nurses, coordinators, and associates, focuses on specific cancer types and is integral to the Cancer Center's teams. If you're eligible for a trial and choose to participate, our team will coordinate with your physician throughout the trial. Participation is voluntary, so you can discuss it with your family to make the best decision.
Today, people live longer thanks to past cancer clinical trials. By participating in a trial, you contribute to cancer research and help improve future cancer care.
