My Proud Story...

When I was younger, I had wanted to get into nursing, but I was married with two young children and I worked part time in a totally different field. One day, I saw an ad in the newspaper for CNAs at a nursing home in Lansdale, Pa. The nursing home paid for training, and also paid for taking the CNA course. You had to work there at least one year since they were paying for the course. I am a caring person, and enjoy taking care of people, and once I got out on the floor to take care of residents, I realized just how rewarding a nursing assistant career can be. I enjoy taking care of people. It can be hard work, but at end of my shift, I leave with a good feeling that I have helped someone and hopefully made their day a little brighter. I have been a CNA for almost 15 years, and at some point, I plan on returning back to school to pick up where I left off, and go to nursing school. I really enjoy working here at St Luke's.
