St. Luke’s Health Center in Hellertown officially cut the ribbon and opened its doors today, August 24, giving the community improved access to convenient same-day care, expanded primary care and on-site diagnostic services.
Located at 110 Main Street, Hellertown, the building is the site of the former Rite Aid that closed last summer. St. Luke’s completed the purchase of the property earlier this year and completely renovated the space. The project took about three months to complete.
“This new facility represents an important step forward in how we serve the Hellertown and Saucon Valley communities,” said Wendy Lazo, president of St. Luke’s University Hospital in Bethlehem. “By building on the trusted care already available here and adding new services, we’re making it easier for patients and families to access the care they need close to home.”
The 13,000-square-foot building is home to a wide range of new services for the local community. It also features improved disabled access ramps around the building, upgraded exterior and parking lot lighting, a freshly sealed parking lot and new landscaping around the entire building.
St. Luke’s Saucon Valley Family Practice relocated to the building from its former location on Front St. and expanded to 16 exam rooms in the new space compared to 11 in its former home. Additionally, the Health Center offers a full array of services: Care Now walk-in services for non-emergent illnesses; walk-in X-ray services, walk-in lab services. Additionally, the Occupational Medicine program will treat workers’ compensation injuries, workplace-acquired illnesses, and perform physical exams and screenings.

Care Now and X-ray: 8 am-8 pm Monday-Friday; 8 am-4 pm Saturday-Sunday
Lab: 6 am-2 pm Monday-Friday; 7 am-12 pm Saturday; Closed Sunday
To help introduce St. Luke’s Health Center in Hellertown to the community, St. Luke’s is hosting Wellness Wednesdays from 9 am to 12 pm every Wednesday in September, featuring health screenings, resources, snacks and giveaways.
September 2 – Lab Services and DNA Answers Wellness Wednesday. Get information about St. Luke’s 50+ labs and community research program, DNA Answers. Onsite enrollment and sample collection for DNA Answers (no cost/no insurance necessary).
September 9 – Saucon Valley Family Practice Wellness Wednesday. Stop in for information about Saucon Valley Family Practice and receive a free blood pressure screening.
September 16 – Walk-in X-ray Wellness Wednesday. Learn about St. Luke’s advanced radiology and imaging services and receive a free Bone Density Screening Heel Scan.
September 23 – Occupational Medicine Wellness Wednesday. Tour the facility, meet the St. Luke’s team, and learn how Occupational Medicine partners with businesses to keep employees healthy, safe and fit for work through cost-effective healthcare, injury care and compliance services.
September 30 – Care Now Wellness Wednesday. Explore the services and care available at St. Luke’s 25+ walk-in urgent care centers for adults and children. Free blood pressure, height, weight and BMI screenings are available.
