A press conference will be held Tuesday, September 25, in the Club Level Atrium at Coca-Cola Park to discuss the latest information, including rules and playoff structure, for Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association’s District 11’s 2018-2019 season. St. Luke’s University Health Network (SLUHN) is the sports medicine provider for District 11.
A light lunch/refreshments will be served at 11 a.m. The press conference will follow at 11:30 a.m.
SLUHN and District 11 renewed their partnership in August.
“For the last five years, St. Luke’s has had the honor of working with the leadership of PIAA District 11 to establish the safest Championship Series for its student athletes,” said John Hauth, Senior Network Administrator, Sports Medicine Relations, at St. Luke’s. “PIAA District 11 sets the highest standards and we are excited to have earned its trust and the opportunity to continue as the District’s official sports medicine provider for the next five years.”
Robert Hartman, athletic director at Whitehall High School and PIAA District 11 Chairman, said, “SLUHN has served the schools and athletes that have participated in our championships with unparalleled care and passion.
“District 11 is delighted to be able to continue its partnership with St. Luke’s University Health Network for the foreseeable future,” Hartman continued. “Finishing up year five of the initial agreement and continuing on for another five years was a goal of both of ours because of the synergy between two great organizations.”
