Free health and wellness screenings will be part of the fun of at the annual Harvest Fest, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, October 27, at St. Luke’s University Health Network’s Upper Perkiomen Outpatient Center. The center is located at 2793 Geryville Pike in Pennsburg.
The fall-themed day’s activities also will include a rock-climbing wall, music, face painting, pumpkin decorating, crafts and giveaways. Children are encouraged to come dressed in costume for fun, safe trick-or-treating at festival booths. Harvest Fest will be held rain or shine.
“Harvest Fest is a great opportunity for us to connect with the Upper Perkiomen Valley and Upper Bucks communities,” said Dennis Pfleiger, president of St. Luke’s Quakertown Campus. “Our physicians, practitioners and specialists are available to answer questions, share updates, or simply to participate in the day. And with the new hospital construction well under way, we have a lot of great news to share.”
In Fall 2019, St. Luke’s will enhance access to care with a new acute-care hospital. The economic benefits to the area are substantial, including 200 construction jobs and 200 new employee positions. When construction wraps, the facility – built on 30-acres at Route 663 and Portzer Road – will include 80 private rooms, four operating rooms, and 16 emergency department bays.
