Bikers Against Bullies Ride to Benefit St. Luke’s Pediatrics
June 20, 2018

On June 24th, the loud rumbling from the north won’t warn of an impending thunderstorm. Instead it will signal an approaching wave of Bikers Against Bullies on Harleys en route to deliver proceeds from a charity motorcycle ride for St. Luke’s Pediatrics.

The Caring for Kids Ride will start in Parryville in Carbon County and conclude at the Silver Creek Athletic Association, where a family friendly celebration will be open to the public, pediatric patients and their families from 2:30-4pm

“The local Lehigh Valley Chapter of Bikers Against Bullies targets children in grades 1-6,” says Gino Russo, Pennsylvania liaison for Bikers Against Bullies. “We strive to teach children to accept differences amongst others.”

The Lehigh Valley Chapter of Bikers Against Bullies holds a fundraiser each year to support a local cause.  Sponsors of the 2018 Caring for Kids Ride include, Heintzelman Funeral Home INC, Nam Knights Lehigh Valley Chapter, Cooper Mechanical, Karl Ehmer Meats, BVFHA Bethlehem, James J. Burke Esq, Home team Real Estate, Samina Wahhab, MD, Jess Kulp Cert Farrier, Foley Construction, Wood Naturally INC, D. Tinman Estate Services and Advanced Smile Design.

The post-ride event will host live entertainment, hot dogs and hamburgers, a moon bounce, Oogies Ice cream truck and kids activities. There will be a special guest appearance by 6-time Pro Bowler and Eagles Hall of Famer, David Akers.

The ride will conclude at Silver Creek Athletic Association at 2943 Route 212 Springtown, Pa. All guests not participating in the ride are asked to provide a donation; children 12 and under are free.
