Being a physician has been the realization of a lifelong dream for me. From the age of 8, I knew that I wanted to help people as a medical professional. After growing up in the Lehigh Valley and attending Muhlenberg College, I completed medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. From there, I enrolled in the family medicine residency program at St. Luke’s University Health Network. I was thrilled to graduate from the program and formally start my career in 2005.
More than any other specialty, family medicine allows the physician to engage with a wide variety of patients in both preventive and diagnostic circumstances. It all starts with listening to the patient. By understanding each person’s unique perspective, the doctor and patient can work collaboratively to manage health.
Beyond medicine, nothing is more important to me than my family. I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children. I’m also active in the community, supporting several non-profits and volunteering on my hometown’s civil service board.
