I received my medical degree from Allama Iqbal Medical School in Pakistan and completed my internship at Jinnah Hospital in Pakistan. I completed my Internal Medicine Residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York. Also at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, I completed two years of endocrinology fellowship training. Additionally, I completed one year of geriatrics fellowship training at SUNY Stony Brook.
I am board certified in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology and Metabolism, and Geriatrics. I am also a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology (FACE). I have presented research posters on Spontaneous Resolution of Type B Insulin Resistance Syndrome in a Post-Partum Woman with Unspecific Connective Tissue Disease at the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and research on Endocrine Disruptor Effects of Central Nervous System Cysticercosis; Induction of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Evidence of Altered 1-ά-Hydroxylation at the Endocrine Society. My volunteer experience includes working with the Red Cross and the Patient Welfare Society.
I joined St. Luke’s in 2009 where I enjoy treating patients with thyroid dysfunction and diabetes. I reside in the Lehigh Valley with my husband and our two children.
