My care philosophy is deeply rooted in self-empowerment and fostering self-worth for my patients. I am passionate about equipping my patients with the knowledge of obesity as a chronic disease with a complex interplay of factors. Through this knowledge, I hope they will build a degree of self-efficacy by focusing on the health behaviors they can truly control and mitigate the internalized stigma they may have held onto for years. In turn, I work collaboratively, with the help of emerging medical strategies, to assist them in attaining their health goals. My sincere desire is for my patients to develop resilience in their journey with this disease to reframe their barriers as opportunities for growth and learning about themselves.

I am a physician trained in obesity medicine who treats patients with obesity and its associated comorbidities at St Luke's University Health Network. As part of a multidisciplinary group that includes social workers and dietitians, I offer patients a team approach to care. I am board-certified in internal medicine and obesity medicine. 

Outside work, I enjoy cooking, philosophy, reading and spending time with my husband and two boys.
