Michaela M. Bosico, DPM

As a foot and ankle surgeon, I am dedicated to providing comprehensive medical and surgical care for patients with a wide range of foot and ankle conditions. I believe every patient has a unique story, lifestyle, and set of goals that should guide their care. Taking the time to listen, understand what matters most to each individual and develop a personalized treatment plan is central to my approach. Helping patients understand their condition and the reasoning behind their treatment plan is one of the most rewarding parts of my profession. When patients understand how their diagnosis affects their overall health and why a particular treatment is recommended, they are able to make informed decisions and achieve better long-term outcomes. Whether we are discussing conservative treatment options or surgery, I want every patient to leave feeling heard, informed and confident in their care. 

I completed my residency training at St. Luke's University Health Network, where I gained extensive experience in the surgical and non-surgical management of complex foot and ankle conditions. I earned my Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, and my bachelor's degree from Penn State University. 

My practice covers the full range of foot and ankle conditions. I routinely see patients for heel and arch pain, bunions, hammertoes, neuromas, ingrown toenails, sports injuries, ankle sprains and instability, foot and ankle fractures, deformity correction, wound care, and diabetic foot complications. Chronic foot and ankle pain is one of the most common concerns I see, and I work to identify the underlying cause rather than treat around it. 

I am originally from the area, and it is incredibly meaningful to practice medicine in the community that had such an impact on me. My roots here run deep, and I am grateful for the opportunity to care for the people and families who make this area so special. Building lasting relationships with my patients is one of the greatest privileges of my career. 

Outside of medicine, my husband and I enjoy spending time with our families, and we are blessed that most of them live in the area. Coming from an Italian family, we love to host, cook, and try new foods. We also like spending time on the water, whether that's a day at Beltzville or a long weekend in the Finger Lakes. I enjoy traveling and experiencing new cultures and destinations. Road trips through Alaska and the Amalfi Coast have been among our favorite adventures in recent years, and we look forward to sharing similar experiences with our son as he grows.
