Surgery (General Surgery)A strong believer in patient-centered care, I listen carefully to my patients’ stories, thoughts and concerns, and respond in a way that they know they are heard. I clearly explain things and educate my patients on their medical conditions, so they feel empowered to make good health decisions.
I am a minimally invasive general surgeon at St. Luke’s University Health Network, specializing in treating diseases of the stomach and esophagus, gallbladder, appendix, small intestine and colon. This includes GERD (heartburn) and hiatal hernias. Additionally, I treat both simple and complex hernias.
I received my undergraduate degree from Penn State University and my medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. I completed my general surgery residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia and my fellowship in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at Penn State Hershey Medical Center in Hershey. I am board-certified in general surgery and a fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).
For eight years I served as the Medical Director of the Bariatric Surgery and Medical Weight Loss Program at Grand View Health. In 2022, Grand View Health obtained its Center of Excellence certification in Medical and Surgical Weight Loss under my leadership.
Personally, I enjoy cheering on Philadelphia and Penn State sports teams and spending time with my wife and two kids.
