EnglishAs a board-certified Family Medicine physician, I have a strong interest in preventive care, with a focus on minimizing the risk of illness before it strikes. My goal is to look at each patient from a whole-person perspective and ensure that the treatment plan in place makes sense. I believe that quality of life is just as important as quantity of life.
I joined St. Luke’s University Health Network in the beginning of 2026 after starting my career with UNC Health Network in rural North Carolina. After completing traditional family medicine training, I completed a one-year fellowship in diabetes and obesity management. I am a board-certified diabetologist with a special interest in the management of diabetes and obesity. I enjoy integrating technology into standard diabetes care, including the use of continuous glucose monitors and insulin pumps. I also have a passion for lifestyle medicine and plan to pursue board certification in both lifestyle medicine and obesity medicine. In addition to ongoing chronic care management, I have a special interest in general endocrinology, including the medical management of menopause and testosterone deficiency.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and being outdoors. Fall and spring are my favorite seasons, and I try to attend as many local events as possible.
