Joshua Kiner, PT, DPT

I am a Physical Therapist specializing in Neurologic Rehabilitation. I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Scranton and am passionate about helping individuals with neurological conditions achieve the goals that matter most to them and regain confidence in their daily lives. As a former Division I football student-athlete at the University of Akron, I understand the physical and mental challenges of injury recovery, concussion management and returning to activity.

My experience in the United States Army Reserve provided advanced training in amputee and traumatic brain injury rehabilitation at the Military Advanced Training Center at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where I worked with wounded service members to support their return to active, fulfilling lives.

I continue to expand my expertise through certifications including Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist, LSVT BIG®, an evidence-based treatment program that helps improve movement, mobility and everyday function for individuals with Parkinson’s disease and other neurologic conditions, Rock Steady Boxing and PWR! for Parkinson’s disease. I believe in a hands-on, collaborative approach tailored to each patient’s needs, goals and aspirations.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my children, volunteering with their youth sports teams, and reading.
