Specialities:
Orthopedic SurgeryThe goal of my practice is to provide the type and standard of quality care that would inspire my patients and colleagues to trust me with their loved ones. In my mind, there is no higher honor. It is a standard that I continually strive for in my work. I am especially passionate about treating conditions of the upper extremity due to their variety and complexity, and the tangible reward of enabling patients to get back to doing the activities they love.
As a fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity surgeon at St. Luke’s University Health Network, I focus on treating all ailments of the elbow, wrist and hand. I have training and experience in all facets of hand and upper extremity surgery, including trauma, microsurgery, arthroscopy and reconstructive procedures with a focus on degenerative, compressive and traumatic conditions.
I have a strong connection to New Jersey. My medical training started at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where I also continued with the Orthopedic Residency program. I followed my residency training with a Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center – Harvard Medical School. I have learned from world-class surgeons in both phases of my training. This experience has given me the tools and competencies to deliver evidence-based, compassionate care to patients. I am privileged to return close to home and provide care to the people of this area.
My most important personal satisfaction comes when a patient is well-informed about their condition and clearly understands the exact reasons for our joint decisions. I aim to ensure my patients feel their treatment decisions are always in their best interest.
My research interests include studying new biomaterials that can expand potential surgical techniques and how providers can work together to enhance the bone health of the population.
Outside of my role as an upper extremity surgeon, I enjoy time spent with friends and family. I love travelling and experiencing the different cultures of the world. Additionally, I enjoy playing basketball and following my favorite sports teams.
