Helen Yiu, PT, DPT

I am a Board-Certified Orthopedic Physical Therapist who is passionate about helping people move with confidence, regain independence and improve their quality of life through individualized, active treatment approaches. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Southern California and my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions, completing my clinical internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. I also completed an Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency through Good Shepherd Penn Partners.

My clinical interests include Orthopedic Rehabilitation, Limb Loss and Prosthetic Rehabilitation, Custom Orthotic Evaluation and the treatment of pregnant and postpartum individuals with orthopedic conditions. I have additional training in amputee care and work closely with prosthetists to help patients achieve their mobility goals. I have also earned the Certificate of Achievement in Obstetric Physical Therapy through the American Physical Therapy Association Pelvic Health.

In addition to clinical practice, I have taught health sciences and physical therapy courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Outside of work, I enjoy training for marathons and have traveled internationally to participate in races, combining my passion for fitness, adventure and lifelong learning.
