Family Medicine

My choice of family medicine is powered by my passion for providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages. I cherish my profession as it provides a rare opportunity to build enduring bonds with patients through sustained care. My goal is to step into the shoes of every patient to ensure their concerns are heard and addressed – not just from the head, but from the heart as well. By taking the time to explain conditions and treatment options clearly, I empower my patients to make informed decisions about their health.

My areas of interest include chronic care management, acute care management, women’s and children’s health, obesity medicine, geriatrics, leadership and advocacy.

After completing medical school in India, I completed the St. Luke’s Miners Rural Residency Program in Tamaqua, where I also served as Chief Resident. These experiences have uniquely prepared me to practice in underserved areas and in a wide range of complex clinical settings. The residency provided me with a broad clinical scope and helped me develop a deep understanding of community needs, fostering a resourceful and adaptable approach to patients. During my residency training, I developed a love for the Network and decided to stay with St. Luke’s.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling. I love dancing and am trained in Bharatanatyam, an Indian classical dance form. My other areas of interest include socializing and cherishing the cultural diversity. I have often found we all have more in common than differences.
