Fractures | Repetitive Motion Injury | Sports Injuries | Sports Medicine | TendonitisI am a non-operative sports medicine physician who addresses musculoskeletal conditions, including fractures, tendinosis, arthritis, sprains and strains. I appreciate the highly specialized care that my colleagues and I can provide, and I also value conservative and pragmatic approaches to patient care when appropriate.
I have served the areas of Montgomery County, Bucks County, and Lehigh Valley as a physician for the past two decades, and treated athletes of all ages and all skill levels. I spent over a decade as team physician at the NCAA Division I level, and during my career was fortunate enough to create a sports medicine specialty fellowship training program, for which I remained director of sports medicine for the duration of its existence, training other young physicians to become sports medicine experts.
I now continue my vocation of sports medicine, treating active patients in Montgomery and Bucks counties, with my colleagues at St. Lukes Grand View.
I maintain an interest in endurance athletes and outdoor sports, as well as acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions in the elderly and recreational athlete. I believe that motion and fitness are the key to longevity and decreasing health risks, and that a large part of my role in treating patients is first educating the patient on the mechanics of injury processes. When I am not taking care of patients, I like to spend my free time on my mountain bike or trail running, or any other outdoor activity.

“Once again, I was very pleased with the care I received from everyone, especially Dr. Bautista. He explained why he thought the problem was not my left knee but my IT band, and showed me the X-ray. He gave me a cortisone shot which did not hurt! Once again, he helped me deal with leg pain-and gave me a PT referral. I think he is an excellent doctor-and he handles me well!”
