I am a board-certified, fellowship-trained urologist where I care for patients with urologic cancers, including kidney, ureter, adrenal, bladder, prostate, testicular and penile cancers, as well as Kidney and Ureteral Stone Disease, Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) and Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS). I also provide a full range of Adult General Urology services and Robotic and Laparoscopic Surgery. I am fluent in both English and Spanish.
The word doctor means teacher, and that philosophy guides every patient interaction I have. My goal is to make sure you leave your visit with a better understanding of your condition, your treatment options and your overall urologic health than when you arrived. I believe that informed patients are better equipped to make decisions about their care, and I value taking the time to answer questions and explain complex medical issues in a clear, understandable way.
My interest in urology began at an early age while accompanying my father, a urologist, on hospital rounds. Watching him care for patients sparked a passion that ultimately led me to pursue the same field. After earning my undergraduate and medical degrees with highest distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I completed my Urology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, including training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. I then completed fellowship training in Endourology and Minimally Invasive Urologic Oncology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
Originally from North Carolina, I now enjoy calling the Lehigh Valley home. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my partner, Kim, my sons, Graham and Carson, and my family and friends. I also enjoy cooking, fitness, music, cars and studying languages. What I value most, however, is building meaningful relationships with patients and helping them navigate their care with confidence and trust.
