I was born and raised in Western Canada where I graduated with honors from the University of British Columbia in Cell Biology and Genetics. I attended medical school at the University College Dublin, the National University of Ireland, and received my degree with honors. I relocated to Pennsylvania where I did a preliminary year in General Surgery at Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia. Later, I transitioned to the General Surgery Residency Program at St. Luke’s University Health Network and was fellowship trained in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Also, I am a member of the American College of Surgeons and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
