“First time meeting with Dr. Smith for stage 4 lung cancer. I was impressed. He listened to all my concerns and took his time explaining possible solutions for pain management. He even drew diagrams on a white board to better explain the process. I was very comfortable talking to Dr. Smith. I really liked him.”

“Dr. Smith addressed all my concerns, listened to me and talked with me. He looked up resources and provided them to me. Every visit he is already informed about what has happened since last visit and he has been available via phone or MyChart whenever needed. He is a great provider and I would recommend him to anyone. He truly cares about the patient and their health.”

“I was desperate for medical help when I saw Dr. Smith. My regular dr. had retired I had become dependent on opioids on his care, no other dr. was able to help me by weaning me down. Dr. Smith is helping me so much.”

“Dr. Smith spends as much time with me as needed. He listens and understands how I'm feeling. In fact I often joke with him that he would make a great "shrink". The staff are always polite and helpful”

“Dr. Smith was very personable, had read my history, was very informative about types of medication with regard to pain and their effects on the body. I am not a big advocate of pain medication and their possible side effects. He explained to me/us (husband) when/why , what is best in given scenario. He is a wealth of knowledge in pain medicine scenarios. Scary but good information! I was dealing with a lot of pain and having issues with taking the pain meds. Thankfully I received radiation which alleviated the pain and therefore do not need the palliative care that might have been anticipated. However, it was well worth getting the baseline of understanding should I need this going forward with cancer management. Dr. Smith was a #10 in my opinion with giving understanding to need, cause, and effect of pain medication. He is an asset to Palliative Care!”
