“Dr Dumaswala legitimately seemed interested in what I had to say, was genuinely interested in my experiences w/ Drs as a NYC paramedic for 30 yrs, & my exposure to the 911 environment.He asked questions re: my diet & NOT just assume I consume the Standard American Diet (SAD). A question never asked by my other SLHN Drs, or my NYC.primary Drs. He became even more interested when he learned I have Thalasimia Trait - again, it was never asked or discussed before. He took time to show me my nuclear stress test results & explained what I was looking at, explaining how my heart was functioning at different stages.He explained why I need to start slowly at exercising because of my present lifestyle - (couch potato).He went above & beyond explaining how my choice of Anderson Campus hospital (because of their relationship w/ Rodale Institute for their organic food) would still require being transported to a hospital for more intensive cardiac care; should it come to that. He also confirmed that SLHN is in the process of making Anderson its main cardiac center by end of 2026.However, I feel he didn't ask many questions re: my immediate family Hx, although I have no issue w/ the rest of the primary physical exam, including taking of blood pressure - others tend to place the stethoscope on the elbow & or allow the arm to gang, or placing their thumb on the scope itself, all resulting in man-made hypertension.We spent some over 2 hours in my 1st appt w/ him. I left extremely impressed w/ him!”
