Specialities:
DermatologyI treat patients of all ages from infancy through the golden years. As a board-certified dermatologist, I am passionate about combining advanced medical knowledge with compassionate, holistic care to help patients feel healthy and comfortable in their own skin – the biggest organ in the human body! I enjoy the challenge of diagnosing complex conditions and the privilege of providing treatments that can make a lasting difference. Whether treating pediatric concerns, managing chronic conditions or performing surgery, my goal is to treat all patients like I would my family members.
While I find fulfillment treating all skin, hair and nail conditions across all age groups, I have two very different special interests within dermatology. The first is in caring for children with dermatologic conditions. I received my pediatric training under the guidance of our department’s own board-certified pediatric dermatologist, Andrew Krakowski, MD. I pride myself on my ability to make children feel comfortable, calm and heard in the dermatology office, whether their visit is for a simple mole check or for more complex dermatologic conditions that require biopsy. My second special interest is in dermatologic surgery, providing surgical care for the treatment of skin cancers and non-cancerous conditions such as cysts. I strive to make procedures low-stress, and work with patients to help minimize scarring from these procedures.
I received my medical degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia. I completed my residency training in dermatology right here in the St Luke’s University Health Network. Before and during my time in medical school, I worked at the University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Dermatology research lab, as well as the Weiner Lab at the Wistar Institute, where I performed studies related to the biology and treatment of melanoma. I am a faculty member in the dermatology residency program at St. Luke’s and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. I continually work to stay current with medical literature and evidence-based treatments and have authored several articles in peer-reviewed medical journals.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Cody, an emergency medicine provider within the St. Luke’s University Health Network, and our daughter. I am an animal lover and volunteer with local rescues, fostering homeless cats and dogs, as well as assisting with trap/neuter/release endeavors for feral cats. I am also an avid gardener of both indoor and outdoor plants, as well as an amateur cheese connoisseur.
