I believe a cancer diagnosis does not define my patients. Whether they are newly diagnosed or seeking another opinion, I want my patients to feel heard, informed and supported. I take my time explaining their care clearly and supportively, ensuring they never feel rushed.
As a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist, I care for patients with a wide range of cancers, including solid tumors and blood cancers. I have a particular focus on gastrointestinal cancers, hepatobiliary tumors, pancreatic cancer and complex cases that require innovative, personalized treatment strategies.
Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, we are dedicated to delivering coordinated, thoughtful and comprehensive care. This approach allows us to work in partnership on each unique case, taking the time to understand the patient’s goals so we can create a care plan that reflects the best outcomes while preserving their quality of life.
My work is also focused on expanding access to clinical trials and advancing the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to help match patients with promising treatment options. As an American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) AI Champion, I have led research on using AI to connect patients to clinical trials more quickly and accurately. ASCO AI encompasses both an educational hub for cancer care and a specific AI-powered tool to quickly access clinical guidelines. I have also served as President of the Pennsylvania Society of Oncology and Hematology and collaborate with physicians statewide and beyond to support the best care for patients. I am fluent in English and Spanish and value building strong connections with my patients and in the communities I serve.
Outside of medicine, I am passionate about the intersection of technology and healthcare, mentoring future physicians and researchers. I also enjoy spending time with my family and staying connected to the communities I call home.
