St. Luke’s Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine Center - Lehighton
As a physician, I believe in making every patient in my practice part of our St. Luke’s family. Going to the doctor is normally not a "fun" experience, but I strive to have every patient leave smiling. I am most proud of my diagnostic abilities; I enjoy diagnosing and managing rare pathologies and providing working solutions for patients who have been unable to find this elsewhere. I am a foot nerd. I have the ability to treat most common and uncommon foot pathologies with a range of conservative and surgical options. I strive to keep patients out of surgery as much as possible, but my surgical toolbox is broad and I can address the myriad of foot and ankle pathologies.
I am a board qualified foot and ankle surgeon and am pursuing full certification in 2022. My specialties within my practice are forefoot and rearfoot pathologies with a concentration in limb salvage and wound care.
Outside of work, I enjoy the outdoors and any activity involving water. Most recently my wife and I find ourselves inundated with our young son, who is a ton of fun and thankfully loves the outside as well. My family is an avid SCUBA family. I formally was a dive instructor and whenever possible you will find me under the water. I also enjoy water skiing, snow skiing, hunting, hiking, and kayaking.

“This was hands down the most helpful appointment I have gone to for foot drop in the past 7 years. I have been dealing with nerve damage and paralysis In my foot since delivering my almost 7 yo son and I have begged for help and not received It from other places. Within 5 minutes , the dr had a plan and It seams so well executed. I finally have actual hope of being able to play with my son and It was all due to this dr and his staff. I can't even begin to explain the level of happiness I left his office with, something I've also never experienced. I have test set up, I have physical therapy set up. He was understanding of me not wanting to take pain meds and gave me a brace to stretch the necessary muscles everyday. Sometimes I feel like I can't put words into sentences to explain something well enough and this is one of those times. I can't say enough great things about my first experiences with St. Luke's !”

“Dr.Newton is an excellent Dr. And Surgeon. He helped me prepare for the eventual outcome of my Bone infection. He had my back every step of the way. When I was able to come back for a visit, felt good seeing Dr. Newton again. Of all my Dr's I see from St. Luke's he has proven he cares for me.”

“As I have very sensitive (ticklish) feet, I was a little nervous about my appointment, as sometimes brushing my own feet against each other tickles me! Yikes! Anyway, the doctor's demeanor, and the professionalism of the staff helped me feel a little less wary. When Dr. Newton said I was the easiest appointment (which he meant in a kind way), I was grateful and appreciated his dealing with the issue on the outer edge of my left foot quickly and efficiently. Beforehand, I thought I would be limping, but I was fine and walked without any discomfort. Yay! I am thrilled! On a side note, there really was no need to go through a lengthy discussion about my health as this was my first time to his office, and my needs were simple.”
