The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) announced that St. Luke’s University is one of the Most Wired health care systems in the nation, earning Level 9 ratings for both acute and ambulatory care. This marks the 13th year that St. Luke’s has earned this rating.
“Our information technology team is committed to implementing the best virtual care on the most secure network possible,” said St. Luke’s CIO Chad Brisendine. “We prioritize the close relationship we have with our doctors, nurses and other providers because it helps to ensure our patients receive highest quality and safest care.”
The 2025 Digital Health Most Wired Survey is an internationally recognized benchmarking program that honors excellence in digitally enabled health care. Among the more than 50,000 facilities represented in the Most Wired survey, St. Luke's distinguished itself by ranking above peers in seven key focus areas: clinical quality/safety, analytics/data management, cybersecurity, population health, infrastructure, patient engagement and innovation. Just over 27% of information technology teams achieved level 9 ratings in both categories.
As health care organizations continue to face complex challenges in rising cybersecurity threats, evolving care models, workforce shortages and budget constraints, the need to accelerate digital transformation has never been more urgent. Over the next several decades, emerging technologies will revolutionize care delivery in fundamental ways. Innovations powered by interoperable data, artificial intelligence, and secure digital infrastructure are poised to redefine the digital health landscape. Navigating this evolution will require sustained commitment and a clear, strategic roadmap.
The Digital Health Most Wired survey serves as a comprehensive evaluation and digital maturity report card for health care organizations across the globe. As success in digital transformation increasingly influences the quality and accessibility of care, this recognition program reflects the progress of leading health care providers as they reshape the future of health care.
