Congratulations to St. Luke’s Miners Campus for winning Most Creative float at Tamaqua Halloween Parade!
St. Luke’s Miners Campus is proud to mark its sixth consecutive year, participating in the Tamaqua Halloween Parade on Tuesday, October 28. This year’s float celebrated the 30th anniversary of Toy Story, bringing the magic of Andy’s toy box to life with a colorful, character-filled tribute.
Led by Amanda Schaeffer, St. Luke’s Site Administrator, and Ken Sherry, St. Luke’s Advanced Practitioner, who has championed the hospital’s parade involvement since its inception, the float featured staff dressed as iconic Toy Story characters including Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie and more.
Participants from across departments tossed treats to a cheering crowd of more than 7,000 children and families.
Joining the celebration this year are President, Diana Laquinta and Vice President of Patient Care Services, Theresa Hosking, who walked alongside the float in costume, showing their support and enthusiasm for this community tradition.
Last year, St. Luke’s Miners Campus took home the “Best Theme” award for its 1980s-inspired float, “Let’s Get Physicals,” which featured neon décor and lively impersonations of Richard Simmons and Olivia Newton-John.
St. Luke’s Miners Campus thanks all participants and community members who made this year’s parade a success and looks forward to continuing the tradition in years to come. Read More News
