Sept. 6, 2018 - A helicopter equipment lift will be occurring at St. Luke’s Sacred Heart Campus from 8:00 am to noon on Saturday, September 8^th.

The helicopter will place several pieces of HVAC equipment onto the roof of the hospital. The work is part of St. Luke’s University Health Network’s ongoing investment in downtown Allentown’s only full-service hospital – yet another example of St. Luke’s continued commitment to providing area residents with top-notch health care in state-of-the-art facilities.

For the safety of patients, employees, neighbors and the general public, St. Luke’s will be altering access to the hospital during the lift, and some roads will be closed: 

• Chew Street will be closed between 4^th and 5^th Streets.
• The Sacred Heart Campus Main Entrance will be closed.  Enter the hospital from the 2^nd floor of the 5^th Street Parking Deck.
• The Chew Street Parking Deck will be closed beginning 2pm Friday, September 7^th.
• The walkway to the hospital from the Chew Street Deck will be closed from 8:00 am to noon on September 8^th.
• N. Penn and Pine Streets will be closed.
• Radiology and the Lab will be closed.
• The pharmacy in the 451 Building will be closed.
• The Sigal Center for Family Medicine will be closed. 

In the event of an emergency, access to the Sacred Heart Emergency Room will be available from 4^th Street.
