St. Luke’s Warren Campus Opens New Patient Unit
April 20, 2016

Phillipsburg, NJ (4/20/16) – Spacious rooms, bright natural light, comfortable furniture and soothing colors adorn the newest unit at St. Luke’s Hospital - Warren Campus. The brand-new, 24-bed medical and surgical unit opened today and will provide patients with access to the best care and newest technology in a peaceful, private and home-like setting.

Campus President Scott R. Wolfe said, “This is the first brand-new medical/surgical patient unit opened at St. Luke’s Warren Hospital in more than 30 years. We are very proud to offer our patients these spacious, beautifully appointed rooms where they can receive quality medical care in peaceful, comforting surroundings. Research has shown that private rooms contribute to a greater sense of well-being and improved patient outcomes – meaning patients heal better, sooner.”

In addition to obvious benefits like privacy and space, individual rooms allow a patient’s family and loved ones to be more directly involved in the health care process.

“We know that family and friends have a huge impact on our patients’ well-being,” Mr. Wolfe continued, “and our 2 South unit has been designed for their comfort as well.”

The brand-new, all-private medical and surgical rooms at St. Luke’s Warren Campus
features state-of-the-art equipment in a calm, spacious setting.

The unit features 6 rooms specifically designed to accommodate the special needs of orthopaedic surgery patients. Two rooms have special equipment designed for bariatric patients. Finally, four rooms are outfitted for the comfort and safety of pediatric patients and their families. A new, state-of-the-art call bell system will also provide the health care team with a more efficient way to respond to patient’s needs.

The new patient rooms represent a $5-million investment in the St. Luke’s Warren Campus. They are the latest construction in an ongoing, $108-million investment in renovating and expanding the hospital and its outpatient facilities throughout Warren County.

St. Luke’s Hospital, Warren Campus joined the St. Luke’s University Health Network in 2012. The Warren Campus is an accredited, acute care hospital that has served the citizens of Warren and Hunterdon Counties in New Jersey and Northampton County in Pennsylvania since 1923.
