Auxiliary of St. Luke’s University Hospital Donates $300K to Center for Positive Aging

Bethlehem PA, (3/5/2016) - The Auxiliary of St. Luke's University Hospital presented representatives of the
St. Luke's Center for Positive Aging with a check for $300,000, from the proceeds raised by the
103rd St. Luke's Charity Ball, held on May 1, 2015 at Saucon Valley Country Club.

2015 Ball Chair, Virginia Oskin thanked the entire committee for their hard work and dedication in raising the funds this past year for a most deserving beneficiary. “The Charity Ball is a truly collaborative effort to positively benefit our community,” exclaimed Oskin.

The St. Luke’s Center for Positive Aging consists of an interdisciplinary team helping seniors and caregivers to get the most out of life with a wealth of programs, classes and tools designed by geriatric specialists. Services provided by St. Luke’s Center for Positive Aging include:

  • Senior Assessment
  • Comfort Zone Adult Medical Daycare
  • Mindstreams Cognitive Health Assessment
  • Memory Clinic
  • St. Luke’s Senior Care Associates
  • Surgical Services Program
  • Inpatient Geriatric ACE Consultation
Additionally, NICHE (Nurses Improving Care for Health system Elders) is the leading nurse driven program designed to help hospitals care for seniors.
