Highest Corporate Fundraiser award.

Bethlehem, PA (4/20/2015) – St. Luke’s received the March of Dimes award for the Highest Corporate Fundraiser in 2015 at this weekend’s March for Babies, surpassing all other local hospitals and businesses.

With nearly 300 participants, St. Luke’s University Health Network demonstrated its commitment to support the March of Dimes lifesaving programs to end premature birth, birth defects and infant mortality at the annual March for Babies held on Sunday, 4/19 at Dorney Park in Allentown. St. Luke’s participants raised more than $19,000 to support the March of Dimes research and programs. March of Dimes dollars also fund the St. Luke’s NICU Family Support program to provide support for families with babies in the St. Luke’s Neonatal Intensive Care units.

St. Luke’s is the ONLY hospital in the region to offer the March of Dimes NICU Family Support Program for families with premature infants. St. Luke’s program is one of the first licensed programs within the state of Pennsylvania and establishes St. Luke’s as a participant with 70 other NICU's nationwide. The network serves to help parents cope with NICU hospitalization and offers support through nursing education and connecting with other families with similar experiences.

Cindy Max, VP of Operations, St. Luke’s University Health Network, accepted the award on behalf of the network.
