I feel strongly about educating patients about all their options regarding their health, so they feel empowered to make informed healthcare choices. I encourage patients to ask questions, no matter how trivial they seem to be because I feel the more information they have, the better equipped they are to manage their health.
I grew up in Chicago, but relocated to the Lehigh Valley where I spent my high school years. After attending Villanova University, I moved back to Chicago where I completed my medical school and residency training at Loyola University Medical Center. I have extensive training in all laparoscopic surgeries, high risk obstetrics, gynecological cancer prevention and detection and hereditary cancer counseling.
I tell patients that the single most important thing they can do to stay healthy is to stay active. I stay active through water sports like boating, swimming and wave running and keeping up with my three children who play competitive baseball and softball. I and my family travel and explore as much as possible and I also enjoy collecting and restoring antique furniture when I find the time.

“Nothing bad to say at all about my visit. I drive 2 hours for my appointments to see Dr Stone and come to a St Luke's facility. I'm super happy with my decision in leaving the Scranton area and choosing St Luke's. It was the choice of going to be. So far, I know I've made the right choice. Hope it continues.”

“Only good things to say about Dr. Stone. She is an absolute wonderful doctor and person and truly cares about her patients. I only started seeing her a handful of years ago after being with another doctor for YEARS. I was nervous to go to someone new, but so glad I met her. She is a wonderful asset to St. Luke's Physician Group.”

“This is my first visit with Dr. Stone-Mulhern. I have a new issue that required attention. My insurance required that I see a St. Luke's physician. I was able to get an appointment quickly. I was very pleased with Dr. Stone -Mulhern. She was very kind, professional, and knowledgeable. I am waiting to have some diagnostic testing and I will follow up with her afterwards. Everyone in the office was friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend Dr. Stone-Mulhern and this office to other women who need gynecological care.”

“Dr. Stone is the most patient and thorough provider I have ever had, in and out of the Gynecology specialty. I appreciate how she breaks down everything and considers the pros and cons and doesn't immediately deny thoughts the patient has. The number of times I have tried to problem-solve with a doctor because I look like a healthy person and questioned why I am in pain, but only met with the "I know what to do" attitude...It is relieving when she comes in and considers multiple options TOGETHER and puts value on the short time we have during visits.”
