My practice is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of adults with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and liver. I care for patients with vast gastrointestinal disease and enjoy developing relationships with my patients and families over time. I also like caring for them in both the hospital and office settings. My patients are comforted by seeing a familiar face during stressful situations, and I am able to provide reassurance helping them through those times.
I am a gastroenterologist at St. Luke’s University Health Network in Monroe County. My special interests in gastroenterology are in all aspects of liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease and pancreas diseases. After receiving my medical degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, now called Western University in Chicago, I completed residency training at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. I received my fellowship training at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.
My hobbies outside of work include writing, gardening, scuba diving, beekeeping, hiking, paddle boarding and traveling.

Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do

“Communication before the exam was very good, assuring that I was still able to make the appointment, understood the preparation required, etc. Several reminders were provided to assure I would be prepared, but they were not overly intrusive.Check in was fast and we (my wife accompanied me) we wisked back to the prep room where the intake team confirmed my identity, medications, etc and answered all my questions, including which ties to tie on the dressing robe. The performing doctor came in twice to ask and answer questions, and the anesthesiologist spent a few minutes to make sure I was fully prepped for the areas he would be covering. The prep nurses also answered my wife's questions about scheduling, etc.Once back in the OR, the nurses got me positioned easily, and the anesthesiologist did their thing.By the time I woke up again, the team had findings documented and shared them with my wife and I, and even had the information packet with pictures prepped to hand to her.It went very smoothly - and I loved being in the new facility too!”
