How Our Program Works

The St. Luke’s Smoking Cessation Program works with you to create a comprehensive treatment plan to help you go tobacco-free safely and successfully.

When you're enrolled in the program, you will initially meet face-to-face or virtually with a Provider Champion to discuss your tobacco use history, obstacles you may face, and medications available to help you go tobacco-free. Your Provider Champion will work with you to identify the most effective medications for you, ensure you know how to take them correctly, and assist you with medication management as you become tobacco-free.

After this visit, you’ll receive phone counseling from our Provider Champion or Program Coordinator who will work with you to identify and reduce barriers in your life to being tobacco free, support you in working through obstacles, and help you reach steps that will allow you to achieve your ultimate end goal of being tobacco-free.

The St. Luke’s Smoking Cessation Program also includes services in other areas to grant you positive tools, necessary skills, and support as you go tobacco free. These services include: support groups, exercise plans, stress management, yoga, meditation, and mindfulness that will support your efforts to live a healthier, tobacco-free lifestyle.
