Family Medicine

I have been a board-certified family doctor in Orwigsburg since 1987. I grew up in Coatesville, PA, graduated from Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, and received my MD from Temple University School of Medicine.  I did my family medicine residency at Reading Hospital.

I really believe that communicating with my patients is most important. I view myself not only as their primary care doctor, but also as a guide to help them understand and deal with both their physical health and the health care system. As a physician, I practice evidence-based medicine, and I believe it is very important for patients to be able to understand why things like medications or treatments are being recommended or prescribed. I always spend time encouraging patients to ask questions, and to do the things that they can do to help themselves.  

Outside of work, I enjoy time with my wife and three (grown) children, playing tennis, traveling and exploring new places.
