What is OxyGeneo?

OxyGeneo is a unique facial treatment that uses natural physiological processes to exfoliate, increase skin oxygen levels, and infuse products that promote skin health. This three-in-one facial can nourish your skin and restore its natural glow, helping you look younger and healthier.

OxyGeneo offers an innovative alternative to microdermabrasion. It exfoliates your skin using gentle methods that may be better-suited for you if you have more sensitive skin. To maximize its anti-aging effects, OxyGeneo facial treatment includes activation gels that keep your skin feeling fresh and hydrated.

Overview

OxyGeneo is for adults with all skin types—especially if your skin is sensitive. Some of the most common reasons for treatment include the following:

  • Dull skin
  • Large pores
  • Fine lines
  • Wrinkles
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Sun damage

By removing your top layer of skin, OxyGeneo exfoliates your skin and encourages collagen production. After your skin is exfoliated, your doctor will use a massage tool and gel that revitalizes your skin.

To determine if a OxyGeneo treatment is right for you, schedule a consultation with a St. Luke’s provider.

Getting OxyGeneo can positively impact your wellbeing and self-confidence. The following list includes some of the most commonly reported benefits:

  • Fewer fine lines
  • Increased collagen production
  • Improved skin tone
  • More voluminous skin
  • Minimized wrinkles

OxyGeneo has immediate results and requires no downtime. Though Oxygeneo’s facial benefits are most notable, the treatment can also be used on other areas of the body.

Having OxyGeneo is a non-surgical way to give you a more youthful appearance.

As with all cosmetic procedures, OxyGeneo has risks–including an allergic reaction. However, your provider will review a complete list of risks before getting your consent.

Before the procedure

Although there is no significant preparation for OxyGeneo at St. Luke’s Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, you should stay hydrated and avoid intense sun exposure before the treatment.

During the procedure

Before your procedure, your provider will decide the better infusion formula to achieve your goals. The two options are NeoRevive and NeoBright.

NeoRevive

This formula is designed to rejuvenate the skin and reverse signs of aging.

NeoBright

This formula is designed to reduce skin pigmentation, minimize sun damage, and lighten complexion.

The procedure can last an hour—and can be done as a standalone procedure or in combination with other treatments.

Step #1: Cleansing

Your provider will thoroughly cleanse your skin before exfoliating.

Step #2: Exfoliation

Once your skin is clean, your provider will paint the treatment gel (NeoRevive or NeoBright) on your skin. Then they’ll buff your skin, causing light foaming. If you have specific concerns, your doctor can focus on those areas of your skin. This step only takes several minutes.

Step #3: Dermal infusion

Once your skin has been exfoliated, your provider will wash off the gel and apply more for your skin to absorb. This step also only takes about several minutes.

Step #4: Hand massage

Once your skin has absorbed the gel from the dermal infusion, your provider will massage any remaining gel to ensure your skin is fully hydrated.

After the procedure

Though your skin may be red immediately after, your skin should look more hydrated and the results are long-lasting. The amount of time between OxyGeneo treatments depends on the severity of skin damage and your treatment goals. Multiple weekly sessions will improve your skin further–but a single treatment should last for one to three months.

OxyGeneo treatment has no recovery time.
