Observer Onboarding

Thank you for your interest in observing at St. Luke’s, an initiative designed to offer insight into the vast world of health care careers. To get started, complete the necessary steps and forward them to the sponsoring department manager by the due date.


Due to high volumes of medical student learners, physician (MD/DO) shadowing is only considered for those who have completed their first year as a premed student in college. Those who do not qualify are encouraged to participate in our diverse volunteer program.

Complete the Observer Registration Form and Memorandum of Understanding.

Complete the Health History Certificate (to be filled out by your doctor completely with their credentials). Submitting incomplete forms or immunization histories not on this certificate will delay your start date.

Note: the annual seasonal flu vaccine is required during flu season.

Submit completed forms to your Sponsoring Department Representative. This representative will notify you when you’re approved to start.
