My Proud Story...

When I was a senior in high school, I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lyphoma. I started my treatment the day after Christmas of 2008 and ended my treatment in March of 2009. I went to school as much as I could and wore bandannas to cover my head but I could not stand them so I went to school bald; I even went to my senior prom bald.

As I was going through treatments, I really wanted to help and care for people like others were caring for me, which is what inspired me to work in a hospital. I really enjoy caring for my patients and they always say, “Where is that smiling girl?” I love to hear that from them! I always show my patients respect because that is how I would like to be treated.
