Surgical Options
Diagnostic laparoscopy or minimally invasive surgery can be useful in the infertility evaluation of young women with a history of endometriosis, fibroids, chronic pelvic pain, pelvic inflammatory disease, or ectopic pregnancy.
There is limited data to suggest that surgical interventions for these conditions improve fertility. However, many women will go on to become pregnant after the removal of fibroids in the uterus and/or adhesions and endometriosis in the pelvic cavity.
To discuss your fertility concerns, please call 1-866-STLUKES.
