“This was Elizabeth's first visit with Dr. Patel. Liz is intellectually disabled, she has Smith-Magenis Syndrome. Therefore I, Dad, assist with her care. It was our first visit with St. Luke's with respect to her liver problems, and I was very impressed with Dr. Patel. He was very attentive to both Liz and I, making her feel both comfortable, and a part of the exam. He listened to her inputs, as well as mine about her health history. He reviewed medical history provided by Jefferson, clarified her condition with us, and put Liz on a path to provide good care for Liz down the road. As I said previously, I am very impressed with Dr. Patel, both his bedside manner, and the way in which he discusses her medical condition and treatment.”
