I am an adult endocrinologist with the St. Luke’s Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology. I received my medical degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA. I completed my residency in internal medicine at St. Luke’s University Hospital in Bethlehem, followed by a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. I enjoy caring for patients with a wide variety of endocrine disorders and diabetes. Helping my patients to understand and feel comfortable with their conditions, results, and treatments is the most rewarding part of my job.
I am board certified in internal medicine and endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism. I am a member of the Endocrine Society and American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. Additionally, I have published scholarly articles on barriers to genetic counseling and testing in patients with hereditary endocrinopathies as well as primary thyroid lymphoma. I have also presented posters on non-islet cell tumor hypoglycemia and Kennedy’s Disease and its associated endocrine abnormalities.
I joined the St. Luke’s Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology in 2017 where I enjoy treating patients with diabetes as well as a wide range of endocrine diseases.

“Dr. Gallagher was so informative about my medical condition that he put me at ease and feeling like I finally found the right doctor to help me to get my life back to normal again. He's really good so give him all the support that you can to keep him in your medical group.”

“I like Dr. Gallagher and that he answers any questions I think to ask, even as the appt is ending.... When you always think of a question you meant to ask! But, he also is quick to respond if anything is off with blood work or there is any other issue. My 2 St. Luke docs are great. Keep offices in Bucks so my insurance allows me to keep going to them ! (Its big issue, big deal to lose a good doc)”

“This office is both professional and personal at the same time. I always feel welcome here, almost like a family friend, but at the same time can discuss issues with my health and not feel like they are being brushed off, that means a lot to a patient, so thank you all for that!”

“This was my first visit with Dr. Gallagher. I switched from another provider. I wish I could give him a score higher than 10. He was understanding, extremely knowledgeable, and supportive. He listened. There was a problem with my email address...which was spelled "verison" not Verizon...and the front office person fixed it quickly. Nurse was also pleasant and waiting room was not a zoo”

The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions from our
nationally recognized Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do
not necessarily reflect the views of St. Luke’s University Health Network.
“I received both an email and text, asking me to respond to the message when I arrived. I did so, and the message that was returned to me read: "thank you, you are now checked in". Therefore, I assumed that I was indeed checked in. Apparently when you receive that message, you still need to check in at the desk. Fortunately, one of the receptionists noticed me sitting in the waiting room and completed the check in process. Your messaging is very confusing, but should be easy to fix.”
