My focus is to provide a patient-centered approach to health care through in-person and telehealth visits. I value knowing my patients personally and want to understand their needs, requirements and abilities. I strive to remain flexible and compassionate while collaborating and communicating with other providers to ensure improvement in patient outcomes. As a board-certified, adult-gerontology, acute care registered nurse practitioner (AG-ACRNP-BC), I have proudly adapted to the ever-changing health care field, learning to customize each patient’s visit and care plan to promote their quality of life, wellness and physical and mental health.
Over the past 30 years of my medical career, I have evolved from paper charting to the most up-to-date computer system. I stay current in my field through continuing education, remaining active in professional organizations, reading academic periodicals and having collaborative discussions with other health care providers. I treat patients with both chronic and acute diseases. I can formulate the most appropriate individualized treatment plans and explain conditions and treatments while taking time to answer all questions and provide follow-up as needed.
After graduating from Lehigh County Community College, I worked on a medical-surgical unit in an intensive care unit and cross-trained in multiple specialties. After graduating from Drexel University with my AG-ACRNP-BC degree, I worked as a nocturnist and hospitalist. I also provided care to nursing home and assisted-living residents on a per diem basis. In 2021, I decided to leave the inpatient setting to expand my knowledge as an internal medicine outpatient provider. While I have had diversified training, I have remained connected with multiple specialists in functional medicine, holistic medicine, acupuncture and chiropractic therapies.
I am very proud of my community and love seeing my patients inside and outside of the office. My husband and I were born and raised in Jim Thorpe and our children are ninth-generation Carbon County natives. Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two adult children. Together, we enjoy fishing, hiking, kayaking, mountain biking and taking trips on our motorcycles. I am also fond of crafting, painting, coloring, sewing and drawing.

“Love seeing kristen”

“Overall, for the first time seeing a new doctor it was fine. It's always hard having your provider changed not due to your request. Getting familiar with them takes time and having the provider get familiar with all my medical needs and information can be overwhelming. Kristin was very nice and seems like a caring person. I think she will be a good addition to the Albrightsville location.”

“Kristen is an amazing person. She is very knowledgeable, professional, & very personable and down to earth. I can talk to her about anything with ease. She is by far the best PCP I have ever had. She takes the time to explain in detail any questions I have and all my blood work results she went over in great detail. I never felt rushed whatsoever. She is a very valuable asset to have on your team! I always look forward to my appointments with her.”
